This could be done possibly by allowing a product to be associated with a project template and project.
Then when the client is submitting a ticket, they choose the product, you can hook ClientAreaPageSubmitTicket possibly, and assign the ticket to a project based on their assigned projects and the product assigned. |

So if I understand clearly
- product is associated with template at system level
- new tickets area associated with relevant product by client during submission
- if product is associated with a project, the ticket is automatically assigned to the project
- if product is NOT associated with a project, a new project is created and the ticket associated
- tickets are associated with project via a new action created on the project, nested under a milestone called "Issues" or "Tickets". A lookup for this is performed, created if not found. |
