Integrated webmail client with possibility to convert emails to tasks (or tickets, etc.) is good idea. Reason is - to get (and to log) all communication with clients in one place.
Now (in our company) we have some information in whmcs/wbteampro (imported by ticket system) and some information distributed between our staff (every user has own email address) - clients prefer contacting with our staff directly to staff members mailboxes. Is not so comfortable (and is time consuming) to add (rewrite) client messages/suggestions to whmcs/wbteampro system.

would this not be in the topic/discussions area - I thought that's what it was for? It is available at project and action level and notifies through email plugin on save.
PROBLEM ... client can not create a new discussion thread on the frontend. They can contribute once another comment has been made and full red-eye access given from admin. It is a little ugly looking and not threaded ... should be threaded.
You WOULD want a client to be able to start a discussion based on a particular area - or not???
Maybe this is not what this ticket is about or I have missed something?
As for email - is it possible to update action/project via custom email??? This sort of thing is available on other web based PMs. |

Good points here - discussions need a major improvement to be more useful to the client communication cycle.
Are there any 3rd party mail applications could be dovetailed into the system for this extended communication experience? |
